About us

The mission of OIDS is to facilitate collaboration in order to foster innovation within organizations.

Concretely, OIDS offers consulting services at the early stages of an innovation project, namely finding collaborators and starting up. OIDS also provides administrative and management services of R&D activities either outsourced or integrated within your team.

Some examples of mandates :

Since the establishment of the project in 2010, OIDS administers the major developmental project of the greener aircraft, a $150 million project.

Born from the « Stratégie québécoise de la recherche et de l’innovation (SQRI) 2010-2013 » the project aims to demonstrate various technologies of a greener aircraft’s parts and systems.

SA²GE gathers the Quebec government as well as Quebec aerospace manufacturers, SMEs, research centers and universities.

In addition to the kick-start of the project, the mandate includes administrative, financial, legal and communication management.

PME 2.0

OIDS acts as a Strategic Advisor in the research project leaded by CEFRIO: PME 2.0

PME 2.0 is a program initiated by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Quebec and orchestrated in two separate industrial sectors by CEFRIO. As part of the program, CEFRIO will achieve a survey of 30 SMEs specialized either in the garment sector or the aerospace industry. Based on the results of the survey, each company will benefit from the CEFRIO support to plan and implement a digital project, aiming at productivity benefits. Following the lessons learned from the 30 pilot projects, CEFRIO will develop and release new tools and approaches to help SMEs adopt digital technology, whatever their sector.

IDS actively participated in the establishment of the project and now acts as a Strategic Advisor to the aerospace companies involved in the pilot project. From the diagnostic of the company, OIDS helps each one of them plan a digital map, detailing the project forward and implementing the digital initiatives.

Differentiation Line

For many, Open Innovation is limited to crowdsourcing. Open Innovation rather is a variety of approaches, ranging from ideation to precompetitive partnerships with mutli-sectoral networking. Rather than specializing in a particular approach, OIDS differentiates by its ability to offer the best approach suited to your needs.

Corporate Values

Creating and maintaining trust is an essential component of Open Innovation. OIDS knows it and integrity is at the heart of the values of the company and of each of its employees.

IODS prend au sérieux tous les aspects de votre sécurité. En travaillant avec nous, vous êtes assurés que toutes les protections sont prises pour assurer la sécurité de vos informations.

Collaboration is born out of a feeling of security. In turn, security of the information comes with both the adequate equipment and a high level of knowledge of confidentiality and Intellectual Property issues.
OIDS takes all aspects of your security very seriously. By working with IODS, you are assured that all precautions are taken to ensure the security of your information.

At all times, OIDS delivers an incomparable service. We know the ingredients for a successful partnership and the trust in a job well done is part of it.
